Motivation for fatcats and possibly fatcat chumlies.

Top of satdee to you. It's sunny here, sunny and warm and I believe I will head into town with the paramour shortly. Unfortunately I am toastless as the toaster has died. A sorry state of affairs indeed. Nobody should be without toast on a Satdee, it's just plain wrong. I had rhubarb and ginger jam to spread on it and everything.
Anyhoo, its been a mixed bag of a week. I've been shaking off a cold/virus/whatever and working a lot, you see where this is leading right? yes, I've been a lazy trogmallian.

Monday- nowt, work.

Tuesday- something of a miraculous 10k run in 58:21 I don't know how but I suspect it was the shepherds pie I had for dinner. The paramour made it with extra potato and some grated cheese too. nom-nom. Clearly running fuel.

Wednesday- working all day, there were meetings AND a lunch. I don't know which was worse.

Thursday- 12k- slow and steady, checking for the lungs, everything seems clear.

Friday- kick boxing. New nonMemnoch had this to say, 'as your fitness increases the class is going to get harder, we're going to rise to it. Everyone is going to rise to it.'
He said this just after he made us perform twenty roundhouse kicks and twenty jab & crosses all into moving pads, AFTER skipping for three minutes at speed. Myself and one of the chaps The Count were heaving up a storm. Somehow this translated to 'gaining fitness'. Er yes.

Today- nada, I'm black and blue and sore. And toastless.

Tomorrow!- A twenty k up the coast. Huzzah! My first in weeks and I'm actually looking forward to it.

First - huzzah!

Unfortunately not so huzzah on the exercise front. Lazy week - I think because the days are getting shorter and the sun rises later and later. I simply can't get up in the dark. Missed a LOT of high school because of this.

Of course I'm still walking a few miles a day - the parking lot where I park for work is a good 3/4 mile from the office, so that plus the weekend workouts, and the occasional miraculous early rise or evening bonus workout may have to do until spring.

Here's a mystery though - People tell me I'm losing weight, and I do feel and look thin. HOwever, I have been eating and drinking more than usual, and I've GAINED 10 pounds in the last month. I know muscle weighs more, but I find it hard to believe I've built 10 pounds of muscle in a few weeks - doesn't seem possible. But I'll take it!

Anyway, did manage to get up early on Wednesday, for 30 minutes cardio, some weights and lunges. Today we're participating in a neighborhood yard sale, so there's no time - must shower and start hauling all this useless crap to the curb for display and haggling with those no-zoners who go to these things.

I feel like a hillbilly.

YOu can alway tell with your clothes. If my clothes are looser I know I'm doing something right, same as when they 'snug up' I know it's time to hit the road and the gym more.
It is bloody harder when the winter rolls in though, making yourself go out on a miserable wet day is sooo much blooy work.
I hope you do well out of your sale, what a good idea for clearing stuff you don't need.

FMC, when I moved into my first apartment with friends at 18, we were all scraping by and had no money for a toaster, so we used the broiler setting in oven to brown the bread. You just have to be careful not to forget about it or let it overcook.

Cheers Chis.
Medbh, so far today I've had plain bread and jam, NOT the same, not by a long shot. I don't know what it is about bread being toasted that makes me love it so, but there you have it.

somewhat of a lazy week, the flu has been going around, and i got a touch of it.

however, my biggest accomplishment is that i got J to buy a proper pair of running shoes, and promised that if he just tried it out - just once - i would let him make up his own mind.

after our first run (we're doing the couch-to-5K program together, and racing in november) he said three things that made me beam:
1) i LOVE running
2) when can we go again?
3) i guess the shoes DO make a difference

he's now got the running bug, and i've got a running partner. phew. but convincing him of the dangers of overdoing it seems a nigh on impossible task!

In the US, we still express this as cubic inches, feet, or yards.

First, ready mixed concrete in Sunderland can
help you get your construction job done faster.

Repairing larger cracks or holes in driveways takes a
little more time and preparation.

Without fertilizing additives (natural or chemical), plants will be stunted and unhealthy.

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like
you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you
could do with some pics to drive the message
home a little bit, but instead of that, this is excellent blog.
A great read. I will definitely be back.
