Uncanny.

It's uncanny how a ham and a monkey can be so alike.

To think that this guy went from the restrained brilliance of Godfather part II, to the hoo haaing, LOUD quiet, LOUD quiet school of acting, monkey faced buffoon of today.

You broke my hard, Fredo, I mean Al.

Har! Bang on Gimmie- morning Manuel- he is a shouty Ham of the highest order (my god, the Devil's advocate, oh sweet chulthua) Pay pal Al and Bob Dinero, (and yes that's the way I'm spelling it because that is what I mean) are in another cop film Righteous Kill (http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/righteouskill/) at the moment and it makes me sigh horribly and look for my copy of Deer Hunter.

No! Take it back!

I will admit to a slight porcine quality in his work of late but it's still back-bacon to me, all sizzling and aromatic and Scent Of A Breakfasty.

Sam! Come on! He's hickory man, hickory dickory bacon.
Cheers Lou and how odd.

Echo.

I saw some piece of tosh on the box in the last couple of months where Al played a cop or a PI or a lecturer or some sort of supersleuthing hero that was basically just his collection of affectations, and I cried noooo all the way through it as I too thought of the beauty of The Godfather Part 2

Eolai, was it that terrible 'Insomnia'? With Robin also part chimp Williams?

I have to agree about Insomnia. There is another earlier version with a blond Scandinavian fellow whose name escapes me but it was far better. The production was better too, all glaring light and restless unease.

Truth be told I can't recall seeing our Al in anything lately. I watched Dog Day Afternoon again the other night and he was brilliance itself in that.

Brilliant. I can so imagine a bubble coming out of the monkey's mouth saying "HOO-ahh!!!"

Good call, FMC. Williams is sporting a fur coat. That monkey doesn't sweat as much though.

That's never Al. Oh dear. He has been hammy of late. I blame his vertically challenged problem. When he was Michael in Godfathers he was king.

He certainly was pat.
Jl, Sam, go to youtube and check out his 'satan' speech in The Devil's Advocate. I swear to pork scratchings, it's almost impossible to watch without snarfing.

I'm late responding because I couldn't remember and had to force myself to go digging.

Nope, not "Insomnia", some piece of dirge called "88 minutes" which unfortunately is 20 minutes shorter than the film's run time. Our Al is a university professor and a forensic psychiatrist for the FBI, but please save that much of your life and never watch it.
